Microsoft Sway is a great technology tool to use to get a decent amount of information out in compact way. In this technology tool, there are many different things that can be added in. Videos, text, audio, and many different ways to present photos. Different documents and assessments can be embedded into the Sway document. In Sway, it has different themes that help organized and set up the presentation of information in helpful and clear ways. This technology tool fits into the third domain of the Danielson Framework for Teaching. This tool fits into the third domain because Microsoft Sway is a very interactive tool. It gets the students involved in the lesson. Sway also can have formative assessment brought into it, which is also a component of the third domain. Sway is another way for teachers to communicate to their students. They can put assessments into the documents, different types of questioning styles, and they can show flexibility with Sway documents. Teachers can make different variations of the document for students who may learn differently and need different aspects in their lesson. These are just a few of the ways that Microsoft Sway fits into the third domain of the Danielson Framework for Teaching.
I could use this technology tool in my future classroom for an informational assignment. If I wanted my students to watch a video and read certain articles on a particular topic, I could create a Sway document for this. This would make it easier for my students to have the exact information that I want them to look out. They would not have to search the internet for the video or article that I requested them to watch or read. It would all be in the one document. I think that I probably would not use this particular technology tool in my future classroom. I think that I would prefer to use something like Google Forms instead. Google Forms have the same features and more that Sway documents. With Google Forms, you can put a formative assessment into the form easier than Sway documents. I think that is probably one of the main reasons that I would not use Sway in my future classroom. Looking at all the other technology tools, like Nearpod, I think they are much more useful than Sway documents.
